I was doodling in my sketchbook tonight, and somehow, my doodle turned into this. Another portrait of The Raven King from Susanna Clarke's Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell.

I love the texture of this -- the trees, the clouds, his hair -- and the duality of his features. Light and shadow, etc.

Thank you so much! I'm really glad you like how it came out. I keep wanting to draw more Raven King art. I can't help myself.

Someday maybe I'll draw one of the other characters! Maybe. ;)
