Now for something completely different! Okay, not completely different, just a bit. As you may or may not know, :iconrufftoon: is drawing a comic about Zhao wherein he survives but loses his memory and lives among the members of the Water Tribe, believing himself one of them. As I was reading the comic, I thought to myself that it would be funny if the same thing happened to Hahn, only he ended up thinking he was from the Fire Nation.

I asked :iconrufftoon: if it was all right for me to base a comic on her idea, and she kindly said I could. Thus, "Fire Nation Hahn" was born.

In this story, Hahn miraculously survived his fall from the Fire Navy flagship and was then rescued by Lin and Yi, two Fire Nation soldiers who just happened to be deserting at the time. It might seem strange to desert before what was supposed to be a great victory, but they'd been looking for a chance to get out, as they never really belonged in the navy. The preparations for the battle proved a good distraction.
